Flagstaff, Arizona · 7,000 ft

Train where the air is thin.

Multi-week altitude training camps for high school cross country teams, with professional athlete access, college recruiting guidance, and the training-week coordination handled on the ground.

01 · What we are

A team altitude block, not a summer camp.

Spend three weeks at 7,000 feet with your whole squad. We set up the training environment, introduce your athletes to the professionals and college coaches who train here, and take care of the coordination on the ground. Your coaching staff keeps their athletes, and lodging comes together through our local partners.

A summer block here builds aerobic base during the biggest training weeks of the year. Flagstaff sits at about 2,100 meters, right in the range where real adaptation happens.

02 · Who we serve

Coaches and parent organizers bringing a squad.

High school cross country programs from Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, California and West Texas, along with collegiate groups in the summer and school-break windows.

Flagstaff gives a visiting team a lot to love: a deep community of resident professionals, university facilities, more runnable trail than you could cover in a month, and a real mountain town to call home for a few weeks.

The altitude is the reason to come. The community is what makes it work.

03 — How we run it

The standard every session runs to.

Two-deep leadership

No adult is ever alone with a minor. Every staff member is background-screened and trained in youth protection before any participant contact.

Graduated arrival load

Volume and intensity ease in over the first three to five days, so bodies arriving from sea level get the chance to adjust before the real work starts.

Pre-arrival iron screening

We ask every athlete to have ferritin checked before traveling. Healthy iron levels are what let an altitude block do its work, and low iron is common in adolescent distance runners.

Published air-quality thresholds

Flagstaff's fire season overlaps the training season. Our AQI action thresholds, training alternatives and cancellation terms are published up front, not negotiated during a smoke event.

Route-specific emergency plans

Every route has an identified shelter and a named receiving hospital, with certified wilderness first aid on session and communications carried on every run.

Your staff keep their athletes

Supervision and lodging stay with your coaches and families. It keeps every role clear, and it keeps your athletes safer.
